We recommend you consider Travel Insurance for the unforeseen event of having to cancel your Houseboat Holiday.

At the time of booking ask our friendly staff about our in house weather/flooding insurance. Our insurance covers your trip for any “Extreme weather conditions” including bad weather & flooding as determined by the Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology and will enable you to rebook your holiday.

Extreme weather conditions will be determined by Boyd’s Bay Houseboat Holidays and their decision will be final.

Alternatively we also recommend AIG Travel Insurance – for Australian Domestic Travel.

Prawns, Squid, Pilchards, Sea Worms, and Whole Mullet are on sale.

We have 5kg party ice and 4 kg block ice available for your eskies, remember that there is an eskie supplied on your houseboat to keep those drinks nice and cold.

Great fun to explore parts of the Tweed River that your houseboat just can’t get to.

Explore around Dodd’s and Chinderah Island or meander further up into the Rouse River at Tumbulgum.

Great fun for all ages, and a few laughs.

Fishing rods and basic tackle can be hired at $10 per rod for the entire time of your holiday.

We also have crab pots available upon request for $10 each

If you don’t like the idea of rowing your tender boat (the little dingy that comes with the houseboat), then perhaps you would like to hire an outboard motor to get around that little bit quicker.

It’s the easy way to get ashore or put those crab pots out.

Prices include a full tank of fuel and a spare 5 litre gerry can

There are some great events that happen throughout the year in Coolangatta and Tweed Heads.

Cooly Rocks On – June 7-11 Queens Birthday Weekend is a trip back in time as all of the old cars come to town for what could be said as one of the most incredible street car shows in the country.

The Quiksilver Pro and the Roxy Pro Surfing Carnivals in March 2018. Watch Coolangatta light up as the best surfers in the world battle it out at the legendary Snapper Rocks, AKA The “Superbank”

Why not book a houseboat and stay in the marina, everything is within walking distance to these festivals and when evening comes you can drop a line from your houseboat or go to eat and play at the clubs in Cooly that are right at your doorstep.
